US Votes Against UN Cuba Resolution

The US has voted against a resolution at the United Nations condemning the American trade embargo on Cuba, the only member country to do so apart from Israel.

Washington usually does vote down the annual measure, but following Barack Obama and Raul Castro's recent moves towards normalising relations, it was thought it may abstain this year.

Lorna Shaddick reports from the UN in New York.
