IMF trims global economic growth forecast

The International Monetary Fund says the world economy will grow just about 3.1 percent - trimming a fraction off it's previous forecast.

The World Economic Outlook was released ahead of the twice yearly IMF and World Bank meetings, this time hosted by Peru.

Maury Obstfeld, IMF Economic Counselor, explains that the global economy will not be growing as fast due to changes in China and the United States.
