Ex-UN General Assembly President Charged With Bribery

US Prosecutors have alleged that a former President of the United Nations General Assembly took over half a million dollars in bribes from a Chinese property mogul and other businesspeople.

Federal prosecutors say John Ashe used his position to help those involved gain investments and government contracts.

Lorna Shaddick reports from UN headquarters in New York.
