UN reports child mortality down 50% from 1990, but misses targets

Child mortality rates have dropped 50% from 1990 figures, according to
a report released on Wednesday by UNICEF- the United Nations
Children's Fund.

But that still doesn't meet the UN's target to achieve a two-thirds
reduction in child deaths.
