Apple has unveiled new upgrades to its iPhone range at an event in San Francisco, as well as attempts to reinvigorate iPad sales.
The new iPhones boast so-called 3D touch, which will see the screen respond differently depending on how hard it is pressed.
Apple also hopes its new iPad Pro tablet with a larger screen and the option for a stylus and attachable keyboard will see it compete with portable laptops.
Danny Cox from stockbroker Hargreaves Lansdown says investors have been particularly keen to see how Apple would improve the iPad range which has seen falling sales.
