This years Perseid meteor shower expected to be show-stopper

The annual Perseid meteor shower, the most dependable shooting-star display of the year, will reach its peak over the next couple of days.

For the first time since 2007, the display coincides with a new moon, creating ideal dark-sky conditions for meteor-spotting as Catherine Drew reports.
