Hopes rise that tensions are fading in Ferguson

A relatively quiet night in the American suburb of Ferguson, Missouri has boosted hopes that tensions, linked to the anniversary of the killing of black teenager Michael Brown, are subsiding.

Local police reported no arrests overnight.

Protesters did take to the streets and armed volunteers of the Oath Keepers group were also present, but it was significantly more peaceful than the two preceding nights.

North America correspondent Malcolm Brown reports.
