Pres. Obama addresses Jewish Americans on Iran nuclear deal

INTRO:

U.S. President Barack Obama said the Iran nuclear deal will stop Tehran from developing an atomic weapon.

Mr Obama made the assertion during a webcast event with major Jewish organisations.

Israeli figures, led by Prime Minister Netanyahu, are strongly opposed to the terms of the deal which will give Iran sanctions relief in exchange for strict controls over it's nuclear activities.

The atomic accord still faces a key congressional vote next month
