GUNFIRE AT FERGUSON DEMONSTRATIONS

Gunfire has broken out in Ferguson, Missouri, where people had gathered to mark a year since unarmed black teenager Michael Brown was killed.

St Louis County Police say an officer was caught up in the shooting and that two unmarked police cars were shot at.

When 18 year-old Michael Brown was shot by a white police officer a year ago it led to nationwide protests in the US, and to questions about racism in American police forces.

Jim Hoft, from the Gateway Pundit blog is in Ferguson, he says demonstrations had been peaceful until shooting started.
