Falling oil prices hit US company bottom lines

Two major energy companies have released quarterly earnings in the
United States and both fell short of Wall Street expectations.

Profits for both Exxon Mobil and Chevron fell substantially as falling
oil prices continue to take a serious bite out of their bottom lines.
