Cross-channel rail operator Eurotunnel says hundreds of migrants are now attempting to make their way from France to the UK through its tunnel, on a nightly basis.
There are thought to be as many as 5000 migrants now in the French port town of Calais - many of whom hope to eventually make it to Britain.
