Charleston shooter charged with federal hate crimes

Dylann Storm Roof will now be facing 33 charges of violating federal civil rights laws and federal firearms laws.

This is in addition to the South Carolina state charges following his shooting of 8 people at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston on June 17
