Britain's GDP back to pre-crash levels

An increase in oil and gas production has helped spur Britain's economic growth in the second quarter of the year.

Official figures show the UK's economy grew by an estimated 0.7 per cent from April to June, in line with  forecasts and a jump on the previous quarter's 0.4 per cent growth.   It also brings the country's GDP back to pre-financial crash levels as Catherine Drew reports from London.
