Boston’s Olympic bid in doubt

The US city of Boston's bid for the 2024 Olympics has suffered a blow
after the mayor said taxpayer money would not be used for budgetary
shortfalls in connection with the games.

Boston has been selected as the designated host city for the United
States but must agree to cover any cost overruns before an official
bid is submitted.
