A key suspect in the 2006 death of Alexander Litvinenko in London, has claimed the former KGB spy was already coughing, when he met the two men suspected of poisoning him with a radioactive substance.
Dmitri Kovtun had said he would give evidence to the inquiry investigating the murder of Mr Litvinenko but pulled out at the last minute earlier this week. From London, Catherine Drew reports.
