Eurogroup meeting resumes with less optimism

Eurozone Finance Ministers shared less than positive remarks as they made their way back into the EU conference room for another round of talks with Greece.

German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeble said progress has moved backward instead of forward as Greece voiced its reluctance to agree to creditors' terms in the latest proposal being put to Thursday's eurozone meeting.

The International Monetary Fund has led creditors' calls for Greece to accept cuts to pensions and benefits whereas Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and his Syriza party have insisted on VAT increases.

As Tuesday deadline looms to reach a deal before Greece's bailout expires, Eurogroup President Jeroen Dijsselbloem says the ball is in Greece's court.
