The U.S. and Cuba have resumed talks in Washington in an effort to pave the way for the opening of embassies in each other's capitals and re-establishing diplomatic ties.
Both sides have signaled progress in the negotiations- a result of the Obama administration's unprecedented attempt to normalize relations.
