UK Prime Minister David Cameron will hold his first face-to-face meeting later (Friday) with Scottish nationalist leader Nicola Sturgeon.
Her SNP party won a landslide victory in Scotland in last week's UK General election.
And Mr Cameron may be set to offer Scotland more powers in recognition of the vote, and also to attempt to head off a fresh push for independence from the UK.
