MCCANNS WIN LIBEL DAMAGES OVER MADDIE CLAIMS

The parents of Madeleine McCann have been awarded over $500 000 in damages at a libel trial against a former Portuguese police chief.

They sued Goncalo Amaral after allegations he made about them in his book on the search for their daughter, who went missing in 2007.
