Clegg warns voters will have to chose who holds the balance of power

The leader of Britain's traditional third party, Nick Clegg has warned no party will win an outright victory in the UK's upcoming general election so voters will have to chose who will hold the balance of power.

The leader of the Liberal Democrats which was the junior political party  in the recent coalition government promised a ''coalition of conscience'' with either of the two main parties, Labour or Conservative.   Opinion polls show a hung parliament is likely.

Clegg warned people would have a choice between himself, Alex Salmond of the Scottish National Party and the right-wing UKIP party's Nigel Farage.
