Russians mark anniversary of the first human space flight

As Russians mark the 54th anniversary of sending the first human into space orbit on Sunday, popular support for the country's space program remains strong. A government poll published on Friday, said that 47 percent of Russians say they want the nation's space program to be expanded despite the contracting economy and continuing delays in the construction of Russia's brand new Vostochny cosmodrome.
