Nigerians elect new president

INTRO:  Nigeria's opposition has unseated President Goodluck Jonathan's PDP party from power in the largest election in Africa. The opposition party's former military leader Muhammadu Buhari has declared victory with votes in only 1 state still outstanding. The opposition secured more than 15 million votes, compared to the ruling party's 12 million. Although some irregularities were reported, most foreign observers have praised Nigeria for concluding the elections without any major incidents of violence. Gary Alfonso reports ...
