Niger and Chad join attacks on Boko Haram in Nigeria

INTRO:  Nigeria's military has confirmed that forces from Niger and Chad have joined the offensive against the Boko Haram extremist group within the border of Nigeria. Ground and air offensives by forces from Niger and Chad have targeted militants in Borno State in North Eastern Nigeria, where suicide bomb attacks have left at least 54 people dead in the past few days. Boko Haram's leader has reportedly also sworn allegiance to the Islamic State. Gary Alfonso reports.
