The American government is refusing to confirm or deny a media report that Israel spied on its controversial nuclear talks with Iran, and then leaked that information to opponents of the government in Congress.
The Wall Street Journal report has become a major story in the US. State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told journalists that co-operation with Israel would continue, and without commenting directly on the report, she said there was no need for Israel to leak any information to Congressional opponents.
