QUESTIONS GROW OVER 'JIHADI JOHN' INTEL CONTACTS

Questions are growing for UK intelligence services about contact they had with Mohammed Emwazi - now revealed as the London man known as 'Jihadi John' after a series of beheading videos.

It's reported intelligence agencies may have been in contact with him up to a dozen times before he traveled to Syria in 2012, going on to join the Islamic State.

The Londoner's identity was revealed on Thursday after he first appeared in a video last August featuring the murder of US journalist James Foley.

Associates of Emwazi's insist he was radicalised by harrassment by British intelligence officials.

Afzal Ashraf from the Royal United Services Institute says Mohammed Emwazi's life may be about to become harder.
