Greece has announced it will ask for a temporary loan extension on Thursday, to give the country between 4-6 months to negotiate a lasting financing solution with eurozone creditors.
But already, EU officials and Germany's finance ministry have said no loan will be available to Athens if it doesn't adhere to existing bailout rules.
