ECB meets to discuss Greek bank funding.

The European Central Bank's governing council is meeting to discuss the instability in Greece amid speculation it may decide to pull emergency funding of Greek banks in the absence of a financial rescue.

But sometime on Wednesday it's expected Greece's government may ask for a formal extension of its bailout with eurozone creditors which runs out in March, following days of failed meetings with the Greek government who've refused more spending reforms.
