Strengthening diplomatic ties will be the focus of the conversation between the US and Cuba today in Havana as they continue their highest level talks in decades.
The meetings are part of a thaw in relations between the two rivals announced last month by US President Barack Obama and his Cuban counterpart, Raul Castro.
