US agency to require better location data for emergency calls

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission is requiring wireless telephone providers to send much more accurate location data for all 9-11 (nine-one-one) emergency calls.

In the U.S., forty percent of Americans only carry a mobile phone, and seventy percent of all emergency calls some from mobile phones.
