UK SPY CHIEF WARNS OF INCREASING TERROR THREAT

Security services in Britain can't be expected to stop every terror plot, one of the country's top spy chiefs has warned.

Rare public comments have been made by Andrew Parker, the head of the UK's Mi5 security agency, in response to the Charlie Hebdo massacre in Paris.

He's warned of a 'complex' terror threat to the UK, and of knowledge that al Qaeda affiliates in Syria are working to attack Britain and its allies.

Mr Parker says the threat of a new terrorist incident in the UK is increasing.

UK reporter Theo Usherwood says the Mi5 boss revealed specific information.
