UK IRAQ INQUIRY DELAYED UNTIL AFTER ELECTION

Britain's official inquiry into the 2003 Iraq war will not be published until after May's general election, according to reports.

The inquiry started work in 2009 and finished its public hearings in 2011.

But the process of allowing witnesses to respond to claims about them in the inquiry's report cannot be completed in time for publication before May.

The Chilcot Inquiry examined the reasons behind the UK's involvement in the US-led invasion of Iraq to topple Saddam Hussein.

And UK Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg says the inquiry has failed to get through everything in time.
