UK GOVT CRITICISED OVER ABDULLAH TRIBUTES

The UK government's marking of the death of Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah has led to fierce criticism online.

Social media is abuzz with rights activists and prominent figures insisting King Abdullah's record on human rights means London's tributes to him have gone too far.

Campaigners condemn Saudi Arabia where women aren't allowed to drive, liberal blogger Raif Badawi has been imprisoned and sentenced to 1000 lashes, and beheadings are regular.
