Radical preacher Abu Hamza awaits sentence

[EDITORS: SENTENCING DUE FRIDAY 9TH JAN IN NYC]

Radical preacher Abu Hamza al-Masri is due to be sentenced in New York
for his involvement in the kidnapping of 16 tourists in Yemen in 1998.

He's likely to receive a life sentence, although his lawyers argue he
is too disabled for a high-security jail on account of his amputated
forearms.
