PRODUCTION SOUND - Notre Dame Bells

The people of France have marked the massacre at the offices of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo on Wednesday with a moment of silence nationwide.

With security on the highest possible alert, people took to public squares in towns and cities across the country to mark their solidarity with the 12 people killed in the attack.

The bells of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris rang for ten minutes in honor of their memory.
