Jordan demands 'proof of life' as ISIS hostage swap hangs in balance

The ISIS deadline for a prisoner swap for the release of a captive Jordanian pilot has passed with no response from the extremists.  

Jordan had demanded proof that the pilot was still alive before it would free an Iraqi female prisoner.

The deadline was announced via a recorded message by Japanese prisoner Kenji Goto, who is also being held by the ISIS militants.
