INTRO: South African apartheid-era death squad commander Eugene de Kock has been granted parole after 20 years in jail. South Africa's justice department said it viewed the release of De Kock, who was widely known by his nickname Prime Evil, as another step in the post-apartheid healing process. But an application for medical parole from another man jailed for the killing of a prominent political leader in 1993, was turned down. Gary Alfonso reports.
