EU Foreign Ministers meet to discuss terror threats

EU Foreign Ministers are meeting in Brussels to discuss terror threats on Europe following the attacks in Paris and anti-terrorism raids in Belgium.

Talks of terror are overshadowing discussions of easing sanctions with Russia amid the Ukraine crisis.

No major decisions are expected but ministers will be narrowing down options for action ahead of the EU's February 12 summit focused on anti-terrorism.

The UK's foreign secretary Phil Hammond said today's meeting will center on dealing with extreme Islamism.
