Dow Jones falls 331 as oil drops to $50

INTRO:

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell more than 300 points as Monday's
closing bell sounded. It's the worst drop in two months, coming just
after relatively strong performance in December. Many analysts and
traders are pinning the loss on the crude oil market and stagnant
European economies.
