White House Defends Hostage Rescue Policy Following Failed Yemen Raid

The United States is defending its attempts to rescue hostages in the Middle East, even though the latest mission in Yemen ended in the death of two hostages.

Eleven people were reported to have died in the raid, including the hostages and the militants.

Bust as John Clarke reports from Washington DC, the White House says there's no need to review policies around such rescue missions.
