Washington is denying reports that it has requested a prisoner swap with Iran

Mahmoud Alizadeh Tabatabai, the attorney for former Iranian-American Marine, Amir Hekmati, has told Iran's media that the United States had requested the release of his client, through a prisoner exchange.
