Rouble falls sharply on hawkish Putin speech

Russia's rouble currency has fallen sharply in value after a hawkish speech by President Vladimir Putin.


His address disappointed hopes that the Kremlin might signal a compromise over the crisis in Ukraine or lay out convincing measures to tackle Russia's own economic crisis.
