Protests follow death of teen in Berkeley, Missouri

Demonstrators took to the streets of Berkerley Missouri in the hours after the police shot an 18-year-old to death at a petrol station.

The teen, identified by the local newspaper as 18-year-old Antonio Martin, was suspected of shop-lifting and reportedly pointed a gun at police.

Mayor Theodore Hoskins of Berkeley, Missouri says the incident is under investigation, including the security camera footage.

The shooting came as protests continue over violence especially between law enforcement and the black community in America.

Berkeley's Mayor Theodore Hoskins cautioned that his town - just two miles down the road from Ferguson where violent protests took place earlier this year - is different.
