New York braced for protests after chokehold death decision

A grand jury in New York has decided not to press criminal charges against a New York City police officer accused of choking an unarmed black man to death earlier this year.


Eric Garner died after he was stopped by police and accused of selling cigarettes illegally in Staten Island.


Our US Correspondent Simon Marks says New York is braced for protests over the next few hours.
