Civil Rights props launched by US Justice System

A Federal civil rights investigation is being launched but he US justice department, following the death of a black man who was placed in a chokehold by a white police officer in New York.

A grand jury decided not to charge the officer for the death of Eric Holder, who was stopped on the street for allegedly selling untaxed cigarettes.

Protests broke out in New York after the decision was given, reminiscent of those demonstrations  in Ferguson 10 days ago. 

And as our US Correspondent Simon Marks explains, there are concerns over the divide between police and the public
