2014: One of the Most Deadly Years for Journalists

2014 has been one of the most deadly years for journalists on record, with at least 60 killed directly because of their work. 

A report from the Committee to Protect Journalists also includes another 18 deaths where it's yet to be determined if they were work related.

There was also a major rise in the number of foreign journalists killed, many in Syria.
