US Ebola vaccine tests show 'promising start'

Scientists say an experimental Ebola vaccine made by GlaxoSmithKline has passed an early safety test.

A report in the "New England Journal of Medicine" says the vaccine has caused no serious side effects and produced an immune response in all 20 volunteers who received it.

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases is conducting the trial in Bethesda, Maryland.
