US and China agree emissions goal

The US and China have agreed to an historic goal, which would see greenhouse gas emissions lowered.


President Obama promised the US would lower emissions by as much as 28% by 2025 compared with its 2005 levels. 


China did not set a spacific target, but this is the first time the country, which is the world's biggest polluter set an approximate date for emissions to peak - that date being 2030.


President Obama made the announcement after talks with chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing
