Ukraine: Kiev and separatists accuse one another of "jeapordizing peace process"

Separatist leaders in Eastern Ukraine have accused Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko of "causing serious damage" to the peace process by suspending a law which gives separatist regions a "special status".

But the Ukrainian President has said he had no choice but to ask parliament to suspend the law, after rebels in the self-proclaimed peoples' republics of Donetsk and Luhansk carried out elections which "jeopardized the peace process".

Mr Poroshenko has now deployed troops to key cities in the east in case of a new separatist offensive.

Jake Rashbass reports.
