Colombian rebels FARC name conditions for release of kidnapped General

The Colombian government has suspended all military operations in the east of the country, in order to ensure the freedom of a general abducted by marxist guerrilla group FARC.  

The FARC had warned Colombian authorities that they would not free hostages due to increased military activity in the area.
