Residents in Rochester and Strood in the South East of England are going to the polls today to choose a new member of Parliament, in a vote likely to be a humiliation for British Prime Minister David Cameron.
The by-election was caused by the defection of sitting MP Mark Reckless from Mr Cameron's Conservative party to the anti-European, UK Independence Party. From London, Catherine Drew reports.
